The Beauty of Gemina's sound is based on its gripping quality of atmosphere. There's a certain rock'n'roll side to it and then there's always this other side, this deep melancholy. There's a lot of music within the spaces, music that's not actually played, it's just potentially there. They don't even have to play it, you hear it and above all, you feel it. The music and its lyrics are also sort of a game with the dark sides, with the abyss that we can all feel within us from time to time. TBOG says: We are here to plunge you into the darkness, but there is no need to worry as long as we keep singing, as long as we keep naming and facing these dark sides. That's an essential part of being human. And it's just amazing how sad music can make you happy. Lots of closed eyes in the audience, bodies in gentle motion, drifting with the white boat on “The River”. “This time we chase the moon and the sky is low and the stars dance all night". The Beauty of Gemina takes us on a boat trip in Minor and we find ourselves with their encore just “One step to heaven”. Pure bliss.
