This album honors the late Slide Hampton, a renowned trombonist, arranger, and composer who worked closely with Joe Haider in the 70s. Now, trumpeter Claus Reichstaller from Munich and Joe Haider have brought back the band, reworking classic tunes from that time for a 12-piece ensemble, all arranged by Slide Hampton.
